Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports launched a campaign to support people to overcome damage caused by storms and floods.

Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, on the afternoon of October 6, at the headquarters of 47 Hang Dau, Hoan Kiem Ward, the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi City organized a campaign to support people to overcome the consequences of storms and floods, especially the damage caused by storm No. 10.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Bach Lien Huong called on cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the Culture and Sports sector to actively respond to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; and requested that immediately after the ceremony, heads of units mobilize 100% of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in their units to spend at least 1 day's salary to support people affected by storm No. 10 to contribute to helping people and localities quickly overcome the consequences of the storm and soon stabilize their lives.

At the launching ceremony, Comrade Bach Lien Huong, Member of the City Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports and representatives of the Department's Departments and Units directly supported the people to overcome the damage caused by storms and floods. In addition, the Department's Board of Directors also received support from Hanoi Open Company, which donated 100 million VND to the Department's flood and storm prevention fund. The contribution will be transferred to the account of the Central Relief Mobilization Committee to be transferred to the people affected by storms and floods.

Through this meaningful activity, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi city continue to demonstrate the spirit of mutual love and sharing of those working in the capital's cultural sector towards compatriots in difficulty and misfortune; promote the tradition of humanity, solidarity and responsibility to society, join hands with the whole country to support compatriots affected by storm No. 10.
