Son Tay: Health check-up, gift giving for policy beneficiaries and meritorious people

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on July 19, at the Ward Health Station, the People's Committee of Son Tay Ward coordinated with Son Tay General Hospital to organize a program of medical examination, health consultation and gift giving to 170 policy beneficiaries and meritorious people in the area.

At the program, doctors and nurses from Son Tay General Hospital examined, checked health, provided consultation and provided medicine to policy beneficiaries who are war invalids, sick soldiers, resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals, and meritorious people in Son Tay ward. Examination contents include: blood pressure measurement, ultrasound, electrocardiogram; examination of ear, nose, throat, teeth, jaw, face, etc.

In addition, doctors also advise policy beneficiaries on nutrition, self-care instructions for some common diseases; the importance of regular health check-ups, prevention and control of seasonal diseases... Son Tay Ward People's Committee also awarded people with capacity gifts worth 200,000 VND/person.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Tay Ward Nguyen Thi Thu Huong said that this is not only a practical activity to take care of the health of those who have sacrificed part of their bodies and youth for the country, but also an opportunity for each resident of Son Tay Ward to express their deep gratitude and respect for the great contributions of their aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters. The sincere care and dedicated health advice are the gratitude of the government and people of Son Tay Ward, the continuation of the good traditions and ethics of the nation.

According to the plan, on July 27, 2025, Son Tay ward will have more than 700 policy beneficiaries, meritorious people and relatives of martyrs receiving free health check-ups from July 19 to July 22.

To create the most favorable conditions for meritorious people to receive health examination and consultation without having to travel far, the Ward People's Committee divided the examination into 3 different locations at Son Tay Ward Health Station, Duong Lam Health Station and Trung Hung Health Station.
