On September 26 in Hanoi, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), SotaTek Technology Joint Stock Company and AI for Vietnam Organization signed a Memorandum of Understanding to implement the DeepEdu Project. This is a key initiative to research and apply artificial intelligence (AI) in education , taking place in the context of the EdTech market in Vietnam growing rapidly and being assessed as having great potential in the region.
According to the agreement, the three parties agreed on the goal of building an active, independent and accurate AI model that directly serves the teaching and learning process. At the same time, the project aims to develop practical application products, contributing to improving the quality of human resources, narrowing the technology gap and spreading benefits to the community.
The cooperation focuses on four main aspects. First, developing a Vietnamese data ecosystem to serve GenAI and education , creating a platform for learners to access technology in their own language. Second, building and deploying application products, providing smart learning tools for lecturers, students and learners of all ages , while improving Vietnam's competitiveness in the regional and international markets. Third, developing research infrastructure and partner networks, creating a creative environment for lecturers, students and experts to promote their capacity and contribute to the scientific community. Fourth, strengthening the connection between schools and businesses, putting scientific research into practice , and creating high-quality job opportunities for students.
The cooperation not only has technological significance but also has a clear social impact when contributing to innovation in educational methods, promoting digital transformation in training and improving Vietnam's digital competitiveness. DeepEdu is also a testament to the three-party cooperation model: schools, businesses and technology organizations. In which, PTIT provides a knowledge platform and a team of experts, SotaTek brings experience in technology deployment and digital transformation solutions, and AI for Vietnam takes on the pioneering role in researching, developing and spreading AI.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Dang Hoai Bac, Director of the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology, said: "DeepEdu is not only a technology project but also an innovation alliance between management agencies, schools, businesses and the startup ecosystem. In line with the spirit of Resolutions 57 and 71, this project will become a new knowledge infrastructure platform, helping to popularize high-quality learning to all students, aiming to personalize the learning journey, reduce regional differences and support teachers and lecturers."
Mr. Le Minh Tuan, Chairman of SotaTek's Board of Directors, shared: "Cooperation under the three-house model will help create AI products with practical applications and long-term social value. This is the path for Vietnam to not only access new technology but also master and spread it internationally."
Mr. Vu Xuan Son, co-founder and technical director of AI for Vietnam, expressed his joy at the participation of the Academy, considering it an important piece and a foundation for the project to operate sustainably and achieve success. Attending online, Mr. Tran Viet Hung, co-founder and CEO of AI for Vietnam, emphasized: "We believe that DeepEdu will become the core of an AI ecosystem serving education, contributing to affirming Vietnam's position on the global technology map."
This cooperation agreement is considered an important step forward, demonstrating a strategic vision in developing high-quality human resources and spreading knowledge to the community. DeepEdu is not only a technology project but also a typical cooperation model between schools, businesses and technology organizations, promising to bring sustainable benefits to society.
