Previously, the family of Mrs. Pham Thi Hong, born in 1936, was a poor household in Ia Rve commune. Mrs. Hong herself was the wife of a martyr. Her previous house was built many years ago so it was seriously degraded, not ensuring the family's living conditions. Now she has been helped by the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to build a new, spacious Great Unity house, with an area of ​​about 65m2, including 1 living room, 2 bedrooms and ancillary works, with a total cost of 90 million VND. Of which, 50 million VND was supported by the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the remaining amount was contributed by family and relatives.

Similarly, the family of Mr. Ho Van Dap, born in 1966, is also a poor and single-parent household in Ia Rve commune. Previously, Mr. Dap lived in a makeshift, dilapidated house that did not ensure living conditions. Now, he has also received help from the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front to build a new, spacious Great Unity house. The house has an area of ​​about 60m2 , including 1 living room, 1 bedroom and ancillary works, with a total cost of nearly 100 million VND. Of which, 50 million VND was supported by the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the remaining amount was supported by friends and relatives.

Major Nguyen Duc Hau, Deputy Political Commissar of Ia Rve Border Guard Station, said: During the construction of the Great Unity houses, the unit assigned local staff to regularly inspect and supervise the progress and quality of construction to ensure compliance with the design and schedule. At the same time, the unit regularly grasped the difficulties of the families, as well as deployed officers and soldiers to participate in the construction work.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Bui Khac Hiep, Political Commissar of Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard, emphasized: In recent years, along with performing well the task of managing and protecting the national border, Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard has actively advised and participated with local Party committees and authorities in building and consolidating the grassroots political system, helping people develop the economy and society, especially mobilizing and calling for support sources to build many houses for families in difficult circumstances in the border area.

Since the beginning of 2024, the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard has coordinated to build 12 houses to give to soldiers and civilians in difficult circumstances. Each house donated will further motivate the people to stay at the border, together with the Border Guard to firmly manage and protect territorial sovereignty and border security.
