Ethnic minority children in Khanh Hoa strengthen their Vietnamese language learning before entering first grade.

Accordingly, each class will have from 20 to 25 children. For classes with less than 20 students, the school can mobilize more ethnic minority students from the 2023-2024 school year who have not completed or are still slow in progressing in Vietnamese for training and development.

The course duration is 1 month (in June or July), with 80 teaching periods (5 sessions per week, 4 periods per session, each period is 35 minutes on average).

It is known that the teaching content includes: Preparing the mindset for grade 1, forming basic learning skills, forming and developing listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. While waiting for the Ministry of Education and Training to release Vietnamese teaching and learning materials for ethnic minority children in the summer, educational institutions still implement the program according to the document "I speak Vietnamese" (compiled by the Ministry of Education and Training and distributed by the Department of Education and Training to schools), including 45 lessons with 6 topics and types of lessons.

During the teaching process, teachers can choose, adjust, replace some content, change the order of activities in the lesson to teach appropriately to the region, area, characteristics, and level of children, but must ensure logic, science , and correspondence with the topic.
