Raised alert level III on Ma River at Ly Nhan hydrological station

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - At 8:00 p.m. on August 26, in Official Dispatch No. 34, the Thanh Hoa Province Civil Defense Command issued a third alert on the Ma River at Ly Nhan hydrological station.

Telegrams sent to the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the following communes and wards: Tay Do, Vinh Loc, Bien Thuong, Quy Loc, Yen Truong, Yen Dinh, Dinh Tan, Dinh Hoa, Thieu Quang, Hoang Giang, Hoang Loc, Hoang Chau, Hoang Thanh, Dong Tien, Ham Rong, Hac Thanh, Quang Phu, Nguyet Vien, Sam Son, Hoang Son, Hoang Hoa, Hau Loc, Hoa Loc.

According to the flood warning bulletin on the Ma River No. CBLU-38/15h30/THOA dated August 26, 2025 of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, at 7:00 p.m. on August 26, the water level on the Ma River at Ly Nhan hydrological station was +11.32 m (0.32 m above alert level II). The flood warning for the downstream of the Ma River at Ly Nhan hydrological station is likely to rise to alert level III (+12 m) at 0-2:00 a.m. on August 27.

The Provincial Civil Defense Command issued a third alert on the Ma River at the Ly Nhan hydrological station, requesting the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the above-mentioned communes and wards to continue to deploy dike patrols and protection according to the alarm level. Organize inspections, reviews and be ready to deploy plans to ensure the safety of dike works; especially key weak dike points and culverts across the dike in the area. Proactively deploy plans to evacuate people living in the riverbank area. Organize a 24/24 hour duty, closely monitor the development of rain and floods to be ready to handle situations from the first hour; promptly inform and report to the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Control Command Office and the Standing Office of the Provincial Civil Defense Command.
