Elderly Magazine has a new Editor-in-Chief

Journalist Tran Duy Phuong, former Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies, former Editor-in-Chief of Labor and Trade Union Magazine, was appointed by the Central Association of the Elderly to hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of the Elderly Magazine.

On June 23, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly Truong Xuan Cu chaired the ceremony to announce the decision on personnel work for the Elderly Magazine.

Accordingly, the Central Standing Committee of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly decided to dismiss journalist Le Quang from the position of Editor-in-Chief of the Elderly Magazine to retire according to the regime and appointed journalist Tran Duy Phuong to hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of the Elderly Magazine from June 23, 2025.

Journalist Tran Duy Phuong, former Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies and former Editor-in-Chief of Labor and Trade Union Magazine, was appointed by the Central Association of the Elderly to hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of the Elderly Magazine for a term of 5 years.

Editor-in-Chief Tran Duy Phuong is a journalist with extensive experience in the field of journalism and communications, having held many important leadership positions in specialized press agencies.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly Truong Xuan Cu acknowledged and highly appreciated the dedicated contributions of journalist Le Quang during his time working at the Magazine. Journalist Le Quang has made outstanding contributions in building and developing the content of the Elderly Magazine, affirming its position as a trusted voice of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly, deeply reflecting the lives, thoughts and aspirations of the elderly nationwide.

Standing Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly Truong Xuan Cu congratulated journalist Tran Duy Phuong on being entrusted with a new responsibility by the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Association; expressing his hope that with his professional capacity and extensive experience in journalism, journalist Tran Duy Phuong will continue to promote the achievements that the previous generation has built, and at the same time have innovations and creativity in directing and operating the Elderly Magazine.

With sincere thanks for the trust and confidence of the Central Association's leaders, journalist Tran Duy Phuong affirmed that he will do his best to continue promoting the tradition, unite with the staff, reporters and editors of the Magazine to successfully complete the assigned tasks. He said that in his new position, he will focus on innovating content, improving the quality of publications, expanding distribution channels, promoting the application of technology in journalism activities to bring information closer to a large number of members and elderly readers across the country.
