Tay Ninh proposes many solutions to improve PCI Index in 2025

Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee has just issued a Plan on continuing to improve and enhance the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) by 2025.

The Provincial People's Committee has proposed many key groups of solutions to continue improving and enhancing the Provincial Competitiveness Index.

According to the PCI results in 2024 announced by the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Long An province (now merged into the new Tay Ninh province) achieved 72.64 points, ranked 3rd in the country, leading the Mekong Delta region and ranked 2nd nationwide in terms of outstanding reforms after 20 years of PCI implementation.

Meanwhile, Tay Ninh previously scored 68.78 points, belonging to the group of 30 localities with good management quality. This result affirms the potential, at the same time requiring the province to continue making efforts to maintain its position and develop sustainably.

According to the plan, Tay Ninh strives to maintain its position in the group of localities with the best economic management quality in the country; promote administrative procedure reform, take businesses and people as the center of service, contribute to attracting investment, and promote socio-economic development.

The Provincial People's Committee has proposed many key solutions: Review, standardize and publicize 100% of administrative procedures; improve the efficiency of online public services; shorten the time for processing records; reduce overlap in inspection and examination; tighten public discipline, and strictly handle corrupt officials.

The province also focuses on developing infrastructure, land funds, capital, and human resources; promoting innovation and digital transformation; providing transparency in planning information and development plans; and ensuring a fair and transparent resource allocation mechanism.

The Provincial People's Committee requests heads of departments, branches, and Chairmen of Commune-level People's Committees to urgently issue detailed plans before September 20, 2025, clearly assign responsibilities, and regularly check and monitor results.

At the same time, the Department of Finance is assigned to be the focal point for monitoring, synthesizing, and periodically reporting; business associations, press and media agencies accompany and promptly reflect difficulties, contributing to spreading and creating consensus in society./.
