At noon on May 12, the movie Deathmatch in the Sky released its first poster with the image of Thai Hoa's hijacker character threatening a flight attendant played by Kaity Nguyen. The two reunited after playing father and daughter in the movie Soul of a father, body of a daughter (2019).

The audience was impressed by the eyes of the two actors: one full of ferocity, the other full of fear, helping the first poster convey the tense atmosphere true to the hijacking theme.

At the same time, many audiences praised Thai Hoa's ability to transform into diverse characters. In the previous film, Tunnel, he played the role of a guerrilla captain who was devoted to his country and his brothers; in the next film, he played a villain.

In recent days, Thai Hoa has appeared continuously as his new projects have been announced simultaneously.

First, he voiced the lead role of Korean star Ma Dong Seok in the exorcism film Holy Night: Demon Hunters.

The film was released in theaters and grossed nearly 17 billion VND, a pretty good performance and ranked third at the box office last weekend.

He then returned to series when he announced the project Cuoc chien ha luu, co-starring with Le Phuong. The film is expected to air on the VieON platform in 2025.

The movie Deathmatch in the Air was introduced by the producer as "inspired by a real plane hijacking event in Vietnam". Therefore, the audience is also guessing what event it is.

Some viewers are hopeful to see two talented actors participating in the project, but are also curious as the director's name is being kept secret. The director's talent is also an important factor so they want to know to have more motivation to go to the cinema.

The movie is scheduled to hit theaters in September.
