In the border area of Huong Xuan commune, where fog covers the trails, Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Hoai (born in 1987), the teacher in charge of the Huong Xuan Primary School's Youth Union, still goes to class every day to teach her students. After more than 16 years in the profession, she has never once thought of leaving the podium, even though the working conditions are still very difficult and arduous...

After graduating from the Faculty of Music Education, Ha Tinh Pedagogical College (now Ha Tinh University), Ms. Hoai returned to her hometown, working at Binh Ha Primary School (Ha Linh commune), then transferred to Huong Lam Primary School (formerly Huong Lam commune), and now works at Huong Xuan Primary School. These are all schools in remote, border, and difficult areas in Ha Tinh.
Ms. Hoai shared: “On the first day of school, I was surprised by the muddy roads and the many needs of the students. There were days when it rained heavily and the water was flooded, and the students and I had to struggle to get to class. But then, looking at the eager eyes and polite greetings of the students, I felt very lucky to be doing this job. Every time I heard the students sing or boldly participate in team activities, I felt the joy and true meaning of the work of spreading letters.”

Sixteen years of being attached to the school and class in the difficult mountainous area, teacher Dinh Thi Thu Hoai has become a familiar part of this land. Although far from the center and with a low income, she always considers being able to "sow" knowledge to children in the difficult area as her greatest happiness.
Ms. Hoai confided: “As a teacher in charge of the Youth Union and a music teacher, I always try to innovate my teaching methods, organize many experiential activities, arts, and life skills to make the students happier and more confident. In the border area, learning conditions and access to culture and arts are limited, so I want my students to feel the sharing, warmth, and more faith in life through each lesson and each Youth Union activity.”
During her years of teaching, Ms. Hoai has received many certificates of merit from all levels, but for her, the greatest reward is still the eager eyes and innocent smiles of her students every time they come to class. She always believes that teaching is not only about imparting knowledge but also about instilling in children faith, love of life and the desire to excel.
Despite many difficulties, Ms. Hoai is still devoted to her job, devoting all her heart to bringing her students exciting lessons. In the middle of the foggy border area, the image of a young teacher devoted to her students has become a warm bright spot, a testament to the determination, love for the job and the kindness of Ha Tinh women.

In the journey of women's efforts to rise up, Ms. Le Thi Kim Luong (born in 1974) - Secretary of the Party Cell of Vinh Hoi village, Mai Hoa commune is a typical example. With perseverance and creativity, she has aroused the spirit of solidarity, helping women and people in the village develop the economy and stabilize their lives.
In 2004, when she began taking on the role of Head of the Village Women's Association, Ms. Luong encountered many difficulties. Most of the women in the village were farmers, had a hard life, and had few opportunities to participate in collective activities. "I thought, if we want the movement to be strong, we must first link the association's activities with the practical interests of the members. We must do something so that each woman feels that when she comes to the association, she can share and help each other progress," Ms. Luong recalled.
From that thought, she boldly initiated many practical models such as "Women's Business Group", "On-site Savings Group" to raise funds to help each other do business. Although the fund is small, it is a "fishing rod" to help many women have capital to invest in livestock farming, small business, and gradually stabilize their lives. Along with that, she also implemented the "Green House" model, mobilizing people to collect waste and scrap in the right place, both protecting the environment and raising funds to support single women and near-poor households.
Ms. Luong shared: “Sometimes just a few bags of recycled trash, collected together, can add up to millions. From that money, we can buy piglets and food to support women in need. It’s small but meaningful.”

Her creative and persistent ways have helped the women's movement in Vinh Hoi village to flourish. The association's models have become bright spots and have been replicated in many other villages.
Not only is she a "fire-giver" for her sisters, Ms. Luong is also an exemplary Party Cell Secretary, always practicing what she preaches, always being close to the people. In 2023, with the trust of party members, she was elected to hold the position of Village Party Cell Secretary. In her new position, she will make even more efforts to mobilize people to develop the economy, improve residential areas, build cultural life, and contribute to helping Vinh Hoi village soon complete the advanced NTM criteria.
Thanks to her sense of responsibility, enthusiasm and creativity, Ms. Le Thi Kim Luong has been recognized and rewarded by authorities at all levels for many years, and is a typical example of a woman in the mountainous commune of Mai Hoa. In 2019, Vinh Hoi village finished as a model residential area, and people's lives are increasingly improving...

It can be said that throughout the countryside of Ha Tinh, there are countless other women who are quietly "spreading their fragrance" every day. They are the diligent female workers in factories, the dedicated doctors and nurses who take care of the sick, or the rural women who silently cultivate and preserve the way of life, nurture the village spirit... No matter what position they hold, they are still "beautiful flowers" that contribute to the warm and affectionate appearance of Ha Tinh.
They do not choose to be noisy, do not expect to be honored, just quietly contribute their efforts and hearts to make life more beautiful. Like flowers growing among rocks, the harsher the weather, the more fragrant they are, the fragrance of kindness, of perseverance and belief in good things. It is from these simple people that the countryside of Ha Tinh today is warmer, full of love, daily life also becomes gentler because in the midst of hardship there are always flowers quietly spreading their fragrance, making the land and sky more beautiful, making life more green.
