On the afternoon of September 15, in Hanoi , the City Party Committee, People's Council - People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi held a conference to summarize the organization of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2 (A80).

Safe, effective, leaving a deep historical mark

According to the report of the City People's Committee at the Conference, on the basis of closely following the direction of the Politburo , the Central Party Secretariat, the Central Steering Committee, the Prime Minister, and the guidance of the Central Propaganda and Education Committee and the Central Mass Mobilization Committee, Hanoi city has deployed tasks early, proactively with all plans, not to be passive or surprised.

The preparation of facilities and logistics was carried out systematically and professionally; the reception was attentive and respectful. In particular, 6 LED screens in parks and flower gardens; 15 screens in 12 parade routes and streets; 136 screens in cultural houses and community living areas were installed to serve the people. The city arranged 687 mobile toilets, 18 field toilets, 400 toilets mobilized from agencies, units and households; mobilized 100% of environmental sanitation forces to maintain sweeping and cleaning the streets.

Speaking at the Conference, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh emphasized that 2025 is a year of special significance, Hanoi is assigned the responsibility of hosting the National Celebration. The activities took place solemnly, safely and effectively, leaving a deep historical mark, arousing national pride.

According to Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, the success was achieved thanks to the comprehensive leadership and direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Government and the Central Steering Committee, along with the direct direction of General Secretary To Lam on security, order, reception and care plans for the people. The synchronous coordination between Hanoi and the central ministries, departments and branches, the dedication of the police, army, health and youth volunteers created the overall success.

Rewarding many outstanding groups and individuals

At the Conference, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai presented flowers to congratulate the Organizing Committee and the Heads of the Sub-Committees on their successful completion of their tasks. The Prime Minister and the Hanoi People's Committee presented Certificates of Merit to many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the A80 organization.

On the afternoon of September 15, at the closing ceremony of the 80-year national achievements exhibition, the Prime Minister awarded Certificates of Merit to the Hanoi People's Committee and Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade.

The City People's Committee is also submitting to the Prime Minister to award Certificates of Merit to 14 groups and 20 individuals. In addition, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 groups and 17 individuals; the Chairman of the City People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit (first batch) to 51 groups. Other cases continue to be considered and honored on this solemn occasion.
