Thanh Hoa spends nearly 53 billion VND to support contract teachers

(Dan Tri) - Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Do Minh Tuan, has signed to approve additional budget estimates to support payment of salaries, allowances and contributions for contract workers working as teachers in the first phase of 2025.

The total support budget for this period is up to nearly 53 billion VND, taken from the education , training and vocational training budget in Thanh Hoa province's 2025 budget estimate.

There are 14 districts and towns that have been granted additional funding. Of these, Hoang Hoa district received the most with more than 10 billion VND, while Lang Chanh mountainous district received the least with more than 750 million VND.

Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Finance is fully responsible before the law, the Provincial People's Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and inspection, examination and auditing agencies for the accuracy, legality, approval authority of the consulting, appraisal and reporting data contents and ensuring the conditions, standards and norms in accordance with regulations.

The People's Committees of districts and towns that are allocated additional funds are responsible for managing and using the allocated funds in accordance with the regime, policies, conditions, standards, norms, goals, objects, economically, effectively, publicly, transparently, preventing loss and waste, and making payments and settlements in accordance with current regulations.

Localities are also assigned to proactively balance budget resources in combination with additional funds from the provincial budget to make timely and correct payments of policies and regimes to the right subjects according to regulations.

At the same time, localities must be responsible for determining the structure of cultural teachers and specialized teachers that are lacking to sign labor contracts at kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools, ensuring a consistent structure of subjects, avoiding local surpluses and shortages.

Chairmen of People's Committees of districts and towns must properly perform assigned tasks and powers and be responsible before the law, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their decisions.
