Thanh Hoa spends more than 37 billion VND to support contract teachers

TPO - The Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just signed a decision approving a budget of more than 37 billion VND to support localities in paying contract teachers.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province decided to approve additional budget estimates to support localities in paying contract teachers (phase 2, 2024) with a total budget estimate of more than 37 billion VND.

This is a source of funding from the education , training and vocational training expenditure source in the 2024 provincial budget estimate (supplementing teachers according to the provincial payroll quota; recruiting contract teachers according to Decree 111/2022/ND-CP dated December 30, 2022 of the Government; handling surplus teachers and some other subsidies, allowances, and educational policies).

Previously, Tien Phong newspaper had many articles reflecting on the lack of teachers and financial support, causing some schools in the mountainous areas of Thanh Hoa to temporarily suspend some subjects such as English, Music, Information Technology... In the face of the above situation, localities have promptly had solutions such as arranging for teachers to teach inter-school, increase periods, increase hours...; at the same time, continue to have plans to recruit teachers, to ensure the school year program according to regulations.
