Establishment of Thanh Hoa City Party Committee after merging Dong Son district

(NLDO) - The Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa City Party Committee after merging Dong Son district has 14 members, Mr. Le Anh Xuan was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of Thanh Hoa City.

On the morning of January 1, Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on the establishment of Thanh Hoa City Party Committee and decisions on personnel work. At the conference, the leaders of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee announced the decision to establish the Thanh Hoa City Party Committee on the basis of merging the Dong Son District Party Committee into the Thanh Hoa City Party Committee.

Accordingly, the Thanh Hoa City Party Committee has 142 grassroots party organizations with 31,100 party members. It established advisory and support agencies for the Thanh Hoa City Party Committee, including: the City Party Committee Office, the City Party Committee Organization Committee; the City Party Committee Inspection Committee, the City Party Committee Propaganda Committee, and the City Party Committee Mass Mobilization Committee.

Announcing the decision of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on appointing the Thanh Hoa City Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term, consisting of 62 members; Decision on appointing the Thanh Hoa City Party Standing Committee for the 2020-2025 term, consisting of 14 members; Decision on appointing Mr. Le Anh Xuan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, to hold the position of Secretary of the Thanh Hoa City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; Decision on appointing Mr. Le Trong Thu, Le Anh Tuan, and Le Thanh Hai to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Hoa City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

In his speech, Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh affirmed that the arrangement of administrative units at district and commune levels is a major policy of the Party and State to streamline the apparatus for effective, efficient and effective operations; at the same time, expanding development space and promoting the potential and advantages of localities.

Thus, after merging Dong Son district into Thanh Hoa city, this locality has reduced 1 district-level administrative unit from 27 units to 26. Including 2 cities: Thanh Hoa city and Sam Son city, 2 towns: Bim Son and Nghi Son; 22 districts: Hoang Hoa, Quang Xuong, Hau Loc, Nga Son, Thieu Hoa, Thach Thanh, Yen Dinh, Vinh Loc, Ha Trung, Trieu Son, Nong Cong, Nhu Thanh, Nhu Xuan, Thuong Xuan, Tho Xuan, Ngoc Lac, Ba Thuoc, Lang Chanh, Cam Thuy, Quan Son, Quan Hoa, Muong Lat.
