That sweet achievement is the result of the diligence and hard work of farmers and the close and effective support and direction from the local government in agricultural development and improving people's lives. In the winter-spring crop of 2024 - 2025, the total rice cultivation area of the whole commune will reach 140 hectares, the rice yield is estimated at 55 quintals/hectare, and the output will reach 770 tons.
Comrade Ha Van Doan - Chairman of Thanh Luong Commune People's Committee shared: "In order not to let the merger disrupt the psychology and work, Thanh Luong Commune determined to fulfill its tasks, focusing on leading the people to develop the economy , accompanying farmers in labor, production, cultivation and livestock raising. This year, the weather was unfavorable due to climate change, so from the beginning of the year to the beginning of May, the cold lasted for a long time, with little rain. Therefore, agricultural production was very difficult. In that situation, the commune promptly directed dredging and maintenance of irrigation works to avoid water shortages. At the same time, the commune increased technology transfer, guided people to proactively adjust the season, select varieties, improve the soil, prevent pests and diseases, and fertilize to limit damage caused by unfavorable weather. Currently, farmers are harvesting rice, other crops and preparing the land to plant chili peppers, cucumbers, and watermelons in the season".

Along with farming, Thanh Luong commune actively maintains and develops the livestock sector, preventing the outbreak of epidemics, making an important contribution to the local socio-economic development. The total livestock herd in the commune currently reaches 820, including 200 buffaloes, 100 cows and 520 pigs. The output of fresh meat for slaughter is estimated at 65 tons, of which the output from livestock is 60 tons. Disease prevention work is implemented methodically. In April and May 2025, the commune completed the injection of 413 doses of rabies vaccine and 50 doses of anthrax.
Screening and vaccination continue to be implemented to ensure the safety of livestock in the area. In addition, livestock support programs are also actively implemented by the commune.
In particular, in the period of 2023 - 2024, from the capital source of the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction, Thanh Luong was granted 13 buffaloes and cows for poor households. Currently, veterinary staff still regularly monitor and guide care techniques, ensuring long-term effectiveness for the models.
Ms. Bui Thi Viet in Dong Loi village said: "In 2023, my family was classified as a poor household, and the State provided me with a breeding cow to develop the economy. Since then, the commune has always cared for me and guided me on care techniques. Thanks to raising cows and having a good income, my family has escaped poverty."
The practical and effective solutions that Thanh Luong commune has implemented have brought positive results, contributing to improving people's lives. Preparing to enter a new stage, with the serious and responsible working spirit of the Party Committee, the government and the solidarity of the people, Thanh Luong will continue to strive for sustainable development.
