In 2024, Vietnam's agricultural sector recorded a historic milestone when the export turnover of agricultural, forestry and fishery products reached a record 62.5 billion USD.

This impressive growth momentum continues this year with 5.71 billion USD achieved in August in total agricultural, forestry and fishery export turnover. Accumulated in the first 8 months of 2025, the figure was raised to 45.37 billion USD, an increase of 12% over the same period last year.

This growth was contributed by 10 key commodity groups with turnover of over 1 billion USD each, including familiar products such as rice, coffee, cashews, pepper, shrimp, tra fish, wood and wood products.

Key products have not only maintained their position in traditional markets but also successfully expanded to new and demanding markets such as the US, EU, Korea and Japan. Vietnamese agricultural products are now present in more than 190 countries and territories, demonstrating the strong influence and diverse response capacity of the industry.

The reason why Vietnamese agricultural products are increasingly popular is thanks to the advantages of tropical climate, fertile land and increasingly modern and sustainable production systems. The brand of Vietnamese agricultural products is gradually being shaped with an image of quality and safety.

Many products have achieved prestigious international certifications such as HACCP, ISO, GlobalG.AP, Organic, meeting the most stringent standards of demanding markets. Vietnam is currently one of the world's leading countries in exporting cashew nuts, pepper, rice, coffee, catfish, cinnamon, star anise and shrimp.

To continue promoting and seeking new opportunities, trade promotion activities to bring Vietnamese agricultural products continue to be actively implemented.
