Domestic coffee prices on October 7, 2025 in the Central Highlands region remained unchanged compared to yesterday, maintained in the range of 116,500 - 117,000 VND/kg.

In the old Dak Nong , traders are currently purchasing coffee at the highest price of 117,000 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous session.

Along with that, coffee price in Dak Lak remains at 117,000 VND/kg, no fluctuation.

Coffee price in Gia Lai was recorded at 116,800 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

In Lam Dong alone, the current coffee price is 116,500 VND/kg, unchanged.

It is forecasted that in the next few days, domestic coffee prices will continue to remain stable at around 117,000 VND/kg. The market is currently recording cautious sentiment from both sellers and buyers; traders have reduced purchases due to concerns about international fluctuations, while farmers are still hoarding goods waiting for prices to increase further.

According to expert Nguyen Quang Binh, the coffee market is being affected by many factors.

The positive side comes from the US lowering interest rates, helping to attract investment capital flows, along with the fact that reciprocal taxes have not been lifted, putting pressure on the supply chain and inventories in major markets remain low.

On the other hand, pressure comes from forecasts of bumper harvests in Vietnam and Brazil, the risk of a sell-off if the floor price falls sharply, and the possibility of further delays in the EUDR law.

While Brazil is expected to export less in 2025, the volume will still be significant. In addition, adverse weather in major growing regions and rising production costs continue to affect global supplies, making coffee a volatile commodity.

Pepper prices increased slightly

According to records, domestic pepper prices this morning increased by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 145,000 - 147,000 VND/kg.

In the Central Highlands, pepper price in Dak Lak increased by 1,000 VND/kg, currently reaching 147,000 VND/kg.

Pepper price in Gia Lai also increased by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 145,000 VND/kg.

In Lam Dong area (formerly Dak Nong), pepper price increased by 2,000 VND/kg, currently reaching 147,000 VND/kg.

This morning, the Southeast region recorded pepper prices in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau) at 146,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday; in Dong Nai, the price also increased similarly, to 146,000 VND/kg.

In addition, pepper price in Dong Nai (formerly Binh Phuoc) increased by 1,000 VND/kg this morning, currently reaching 146,000 VND/kg.

At the end of the session on October 6, the International Pepper Association (IPC) said that the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper increased sharply by 2.93% to 7,225 USD/ton.

Meanwhile, pepper prices in other major producing countries remained unchanged from yesterday. Currently, Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 is traded at 6,200 USD/ton, while Malaysian Kuching black pepper remains at 9,500 USD/ton.

Vietnam's black pepper export price currently fluctuates between 6,600 - 6,800 USD/ton for 500 g/l and 550 g/l types.

At the same time, Indonesian Muntok white pepper increased by 1.41% to 10,080 USD/ton, while Malaysian ASTA white pepper remained at 12,500 USD/ton and Vietnamese white pepper remained at 9,250 USD/ton.

Pepper market is forecast to remain flat this week as the new harvest season begins. Both farmers and dealers are hoarding, as many expect prices to rise in the final months of the year.

In the context of a lack of strong international and weather factors, pepper prices are likely to fluctuate slightly within a narrow range.

The main attraction of the market is that export prices remain stable in the highlands. The average export price in the first 9 months of 2025 reached 6,774 USD/ton - an increase of 37.4% over the same period last year.

In September alone, the export price reached 6,555 USD/ton, a slight increase compared to August and 1.5% higher than September 2024.

Although the export volume in the first 9 months of the year decreased by 6.3% to 188 thousand tons, thanks to the sharp increase in selling prices, the export turnover still increased by 28.7%, reaching 1.27 billion USD. This development shows that the Vietnamese pepper market still maintains stable growth despite the limited supply.
