Road Management Area 3 has removed temporary load prohibition signs on National Highway 1 through Quang Ngai province after a report from Giao Thong Newspaper.
On November 13, according to observations by Giao Thong Newspaper reporters, along National Highway 1 through Quang Ngai City, many weight limit sign posts have been removed. Most of the signs prohibit the weight of trucks, container trucks, tractor-trailers, etc.
Workers removed the outdated weight restriction sign.
Speaking with Giao Thong Newspaper, the leader of Road Management Area III said that after Giao Thong Newspaper's reflection, the unit directed its affiliated agencies to organize a review of the sign system on National Highway 1 through Quang Ngai.
Thereby, it was confirmed that the temporary load prohibition signs had expired after the repair work of Tra Khuc 2 bridge was completed, so the unit removed them.
As Giao Thong Newspaper reported, along National Highway 1 through Quang Ngai City, many signs prohibiting loads for 29-ton trucks, 34-ton containers, and tractors pulling 39-ton semi-trailers have not been removed after the repair of Tra Khuc 2 Bridge was completed many months ago.
The delay in removing temporary signs has made drivers worry that they will be fined by authorities for entering prohibited roads.
