This morning, in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, the launching ceremony of the Southern Institute for Applied Research in Psychology and Education , under the Vietnam Association of Psychology and Education, took place.

The Southern Institute for Applied Psychology and Education Research was established on April 4, 2023, and was granted a certificate of scientific and educational activities by the Ministry of Science and Technology on May 11, 2023. The Director of the Institute is Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung, the Deputy Director is Mr. Le Dong Phuong and the Permanent Deputy Director is Mr. Nguyen Minh Dang Khoi.

At today's launch, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Kieu, President of the Vietnam Association of Psychological and Educational Sciences, delivered a congratulatory speech and presented the decision to establish the institute.

Director-PhD Nguyen Viet Hung said that the Southern Institute for Applied Research in Psychology and Education is a long-cherished desire of professionals to contribute to the development of education for the young generation.

"According to the development of society, in the 4.0 era, more and more advanced research and inventions are born, gradually changing the face of society, gradually changing concepts and education methods towards globalization, but accompanied by undesirable consequences. The question is what should the future generation do to develop best but minimize those consequences? After many years of exchange, consultation, and debate, we decided to establish the Southern Institute for Applied Research in Psychology and Education," said Dr. Hung.

The Institute hopes to provide more support to students in career counseling, psychological counseling... in the near future.

Congratulating the Southern Institute for Applied Research in Psychology and Education on its launch day, Ms. Mai Thi Hong Hoa, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, believes that the institute is on the path of development, making a positive contribution to current education, wishing the institute much success and many valuable research projects for the community.

Also sharing at the event this morning, Mr. Dao Trong Do, Director of the Department of Continuing Education, General Department of Vocational Education, Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, commented that with careful preparation and a clear platform of activities, in the coming time, it is hoped that the institute will have many contributions in psychological and educational activities.

Especially in the field of career counseling, the institute will advise students to make the best career choices, helping them find jobs that suit themselves and the needs of human resources in society.

In a further discussion with Thanh Nien Newspaper reporters, Mr. Nguyen Minh Dang Khoi, Permanent Deputy Director, said that the Southern Institute for Applied Psychology and Education Research aims to operate in three aspects: research and application of scientific achievements, psychological education and related scientific fields to foster life skills, counseling for high school students; develop the capacity of teachers, managers, and educational consultants; cooperate with educational institutions and related organizations to deploy educational consulting services for partners and related individuals and link to transfer science and technology with many countries in the world.

Right after its launch, the Southern Institute for Applied Research in Psychology and Education has many activities in many educational units not only in Ho Chi Minh City but also in many provinces in the southern region. From here, the institute hopes to strengthen career orientation for students, helping them to develop their full capacity, build their internal capacity through life skills training, support psychological counseling...
