Attending the ceremony were Comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Comrade Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Party Central Committee member, Vice President; Comrade Tran Hong Ha, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister; and representatives of leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, mass organizations and leaders of the Vietnam Farmers' Union through the periods.
In his opening speech, Comrade Luong Quoc Doan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, emphasized: Over 95 years of establishment and development, the Vietnam Farmers' Union - formerly the "General Farmers' Association of Indochina" - has always been close to and accompanied the nation in all historical periods, from the struggle for independence and national unification to the period of renovation and international integration. The Unions at all levels have promoted their core role in building new rural areas, supporting farmers to develop production, improve their lives, and contribute to building a strong Vietnamese peasant class.
The 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union took place with the theme: "Solidarity - Innovation - Creativity - Emulation to build a strong Vietnam Farmers' Union, confidently entering a new era with the nation".
The congress aims to summarize and evaluate the patriotic emulation movement for the 2020-2025 period, honor typical advanced collectives and individuals, and set out directions and tasks for the 2025-2030 period.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Comrade Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to the Farmers' Association for Liberation of the Central Highlands and the Third-class Labor Medal to 10 outstanding individuals. In addition, 26 outstanding farmers were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister, along with 34 collectives and 212 individuals recognized by the Central Vietnam Farmers' Association for their outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement in the period 2020-2025.
Speaking at the Congress, comrade Do Van Chien affirmed: agriculture, farmers and rural areas have a particularly important strategic position in the Party's revolutionary cause. The Vietnam Farmers' Union has become a great political force, loyal to the Party, closely attached to the people, making an important contribution to the cause of innovation, construction and protection of the Fatherland.
He suggested that the Association at all levels continue to unite, strongly innovate, improve the quality of activities, promote the role of farmers as the main subject in agricultural economic development, digital transformation, international integration and building civilized and modern rural areas.
In his closing speech, Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Luong Quoc Doan launched the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2025-2030, calling on all cadres, members and farmers nationwide to continue promoting the glorious 95-year tradition of the Union, solidarity - creativity - innovation, contributing to building an increasingly prosperous and happy country.
