During the three days of June 19, 20, and 21, the Trang Bang Town Land Fund Development Center coordinated with the People's Committees of An Tinh and Loc Hung wards and related units to organize the payment of compensation and support for site clearance (GPMB) of component project 4: Compensation, support, and resettlement of the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway project through the town.
The total number of households, individuals and organizations in An Tinh and Loc Hung wards receiving compensation and support for the first phase of site clearance is 529 households and individuals with a total amount of nearly 680 billion VND.
According to a quick report, as of June 21, compensation and support for the first phase of the expressway project in An Tinh and Loc Hung wards have been paid to 407 out of 529 households, reaching 76.9% of the total number of households; the total payment amount is nearly 484 billion VND, reaching over 71% of the total amount. Of which, An Tinh ward has paid 318 households; Loc Hung ward 89 households.
The Town Land Fund Development Center is continuing to carry out work to prepare for the payment of compensation and support for land clearance for the expressway project for households and individuals affected by the project in Gia Loc Ward. Accordingly, in this ward, there are 630 affected households, the total amount of compensation and support according to the approved plan is nearly 831 billion VND. It is expected that the first payment plan will take place in the next 3 days: June 25, 26 and 27.
It is expected that after completing the first payment in the area of 3 wards An Tinh, Loc Hung, Gia Loc, Trang Bang town, it will reach nearly 73% of the total number of households and 70.5% of the total compensation cost according to the approved plan.
The Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway project, the section passing through Trang Bang town, is about 11.3 km long, with over 1,000 households and individuals affected by the project. In the past time, the construction and approval of land prices for compensation and site clearance work by the town has been carried out in strict accordance with the principles, criteria, legal basis and appropriate land valuation methods in accordance with the provisions of the Land Law 2024; ensuring publicity and transparency.
The plan for implementing compensation, site clearance and resettlement for the expressway project in the area is generally carried out by the Compensation and Site Clearance Steering Committee of the Town and relevant functional branches and localities of the town following the Gantt diagram and direct instructions of the Provincial People's Committee.
Early payment of compensation and support for site clearance for the expressway project is also the wish of the majority of people whose land and assets on land are affected by the project, in order to help people stabilize their lives soon, especially those whose houses and land have been cleared.
