Practical care for union members and workers

Officials, union members and workers in the eastern part of the city visited the Con Son - Kiep Bac relic site in the program "Thank workers" in 2025.

Meaningful journey, connecting workers

During the implementation months, more than 2,000 outstanding union members and officials of Hai Phong city visited and offered incense at the Nguyen Duc Canh Memorial House, Bach Dang Giang relic site, and Con Son - Kiep Bac special national relic site.

At the visited locations, union members and workers of the city have the opportunity to learn about history and pay tribute to the contributions of their predecessors; at the same time, learn and practice skills in organizing collective activities, contributing to improving the quality of union activities. The trips become a journey of "returning to the source", visiting emotional red addresses, reminding them of the glorious tradition of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union.

Mr. Dong Van Duc, Production Manager of Phuc Son Cement Company (Phu Thu Industrial Park, Kinh Mon Ward) said that this time, the company has 5 union officials and members who have achieved many outstanding achievements in professional work and union work participating in the trip. After stressful working days, workers have the opportunity to exchange, learn more skills, and visit meaningful historical sites. This is a great source of encouragement for workers to make more efforts and contribute to the overall development of the enterprise. Through the program, the company's workers hope that the Union at all levels will pay more attention to union members, especially proposing policies to improve the working environment and increase income to better care for workers' lives.

Sharing the same sentiment, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai, Head of the Production Team of Phu Nguyen Company Limited (Nam Sach Commune) expressed that this was the first time she participated in the "Thank the Workers" journey organized by the City Labor Federation. She felt the care from the Trade Union, which made her more attached to the business and trust the Trade Union organization.

Continuing to care for union members and workers

Comrade Do Van Sanh, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Work Committee (Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city) said that the program "Thanking workers" in 2025 organized by the City Labor Federation completed the set goals, creating opportunities for exchange and sharing of experiences among union officials. At the program, the leaders of the City Labor Federation directly listened to the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers. From there, they directed the development of plans and organized more practical care activities. In addition, the program creates a close connection between the Trade Union organization with workers and business owners, taking care of and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers. At the same time, it mobilizes workers to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, striving to fulfill the city's socio -economic development targets.

The enthusiastic participation of more than 2,000 union members from many grassroots unions in the area clearly demonstrates the attraction and practical significance of the program. This creates a foundation for the City Union to continue implementing activities to care for and protect the legitimate rights of union members in the last months of the year and the following year.

After the success of the "Thank you workers" program, in the last months of 2025, the City Labor Federation continues to focus on key tasks, such as: organizing the first Social Housing and Employment Consulting Festival in 2025; taking care of Tet for union members and workers by implementing support packages such as: giving gifts, bus tickets, hardship allowances, organizing a series of "Tet Sum Vay" programs and especially maintaining the organization of the "Union Tet Market" program in 2026 on a large scale at the Viet Tiep Friendship Labor Cultural Palace. The programs strive to take care of a large number of union members and workers in the city with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet".

Comrade Do Van Sanh emphasized that in the coming time, the City Labor Federation will continue to innovate its content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots level, accompanying businesses and workers. Especially, in the context of mergers and streamlining of organizations and apparatus, the Trade Union organization together with all levels, sectors and localities in the city will well implement social security programs, comprehensively care for union members and workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
