The Northern Delta region and the southern part of Phu Tho province are experiencing hot weather today with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-36 degrees Celsius, some places above 36 degrees Celsius; the lowest humidity from 50-60%. The duration of the hot weather is from 12-16 hours. From August 6, the hot weather in this region tends to ease.

In the Central region, the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang , the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa have hot and extremely hot weather. The highest temperature ranges from 36-38 degrees Celsius, some places over 38 degrees Celsius; the lowest humidity is 50-55%. The hot weather lasts from 11am to 5pm. It is forecasted that the heat wave in this area will likely last for many days to come.

The northern part of the East Sea (including the Hoang Sa sea area) and the western part of the central East Sea will have strong southwest winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7-8; waves 1.5-3m high, rough seas. All vessels operating in this sea area should proactively avoid strong winds and tornadoes.

Ho Chi Minh City is cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and at night, and hot during the day. Southwest wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind. Lowest temperature 25-27 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 34-36 degrees Celsius.
