On October 11, Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced that the country had allocated 10.4 billion euros (equivalent to 11 billion USD) in the budget for military aid to Ukraine, of which nearly 4 billion euros had been disbursed.

On social network X, Minister Ruben said that the military aid fund for Kiev has been allocated with a total value of 10.4 billion euros. Up to now, Amsterdam has provided nearly 4 billion euros and more than 6 billion euros will be spent in the coming time.

Since the conflict broke out in February 2022, the Netherlands has been providing military aid to Ukraine. The weapons and military equipment that the Western European country has transferred include 60 T-72 tanks, more than 200 YPR infantry fighting vehicles, about 100 Leopard 1 tanks (together with Germany and Denmark), 14 upgraded Leopard 2 tanks (together with Denmark), 8 PzH2000 self-propelled guns, 2 Patriot air defense systems, more than 500 drones and a large number of individual weapons such as shoulder-fired missiles, grenade launchers, rifles, machine guns and ammunition.

The delivery of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine officially began on October 6. The Netherlands will continue to provide the remaining committed F-16 aircraft in the coming months to strengthen Ukraine's air force capabilities.

In a development related to the conflict, Deputy Director of the Main Military- Political Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Commander of the Akhmat special forces of the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation, Major General Apty Alaudinov, in an interview with the Youth Truth newspaper on October 11, said that the Russian army had destroyed 70% of the military equipment used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU) in the operation in Kursk province.

“They have concentrated real resources that they have never had in three years on a specific attack in one direction – more than 200 tanks, more than 400 armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles,” Mr. Alaudinov said.

All the old weapons of Europe were involved in this campaign. 70% of this equipment was destroyed. The remaining equipment somewhere will continue to be destroyed.”

Major General Alaudinov also asserted that Ukraine’s military resources are running out and Kiev does not currently have half of the reserves that were sent to Kursk Oblast. In addition, the VSU “does not have the same well-trained fighters as they had at the beginning of 2023.”

Meanwhile, the Telegram channel “Mash” said that about 1,500 VSU soldiers were surrounded near the village of Olgovka in the Korenevsky district of Kursk province after the Russian army launched the second stage of the counteroffensive.

The Russian army reportedly regained control of four settlements - Leonidovo, Lyubimovka, Mikhailovka and Sheptukhovka. Here, as in Zeleny Shlyakh, a search is underway.

By the morning of October 11, the Russian army had taken control of the Novoivanovka residential area in the Sudzhan district.
