According to Mr. Dung, the Department also has some responsibility in this incident. "The examination council has 5 people, including Mr. Vu Ngoc Liem, Chairman of the examination council, Principal of Ngoc Lac High School and 4 others involved in the stages of reading scores, entering scores, controlling reading, controlling recording. We have asked this council to review and clarify the responsibilities of the individuals involved" - Mr. Dung said.
The Chief Inspector of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province also said that he had asked the Principal of Le Hong Phong High School (Bim Son town) to discuss with the student's family and find a suitable private school for the student to continue studying. It is impossible for this student to study at a public school.
Previously, on October 9, the Inspectorate of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province informed that it had verified the petition reflecting that candidate CTH, in examination room No. 6, Examination Council of Le Hong Phong High School (Bim Son town) had average academic performance, but the result of the entrance exam to grade 10 of high school was unusually high.
According to the Inspectorate of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province, after receiving the feedback, the department established an inspection team and discovered discrepancies in the exam results of candidate CTH (born 2009, registration number 721xxx) at the Examination Council of Le Hong Phong High School, Bim Son town in the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year.
Specifically, the announced test scores of CTH candidates were: Math 8 points, Literature 8.5 points, English 6.4 points. However, after checking the test, the actual results were only Math 4.5 points, Literature 6.5 points and English 2.4 points.
According to the Inspector of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province, the cause of this incident is said to be a "mistake" in the process of returning and scoring at the Examination Council of Ngoc Lac High School.
According to the explanation of the Ngoc Lac High School Examination Board, the reason for the wrong score was due to the work process, work pressure, and lack of concentration, which led to the wrong score being recorded and it was not intentional.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dung, Chief Inspector of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province, said that during the process of checking and verifying the incident, the family and the Examination Council confirmed that there were no negative factors in the wrong entry of the candidate's score.
Previously, when the admission scores for grade 10 at Le Hong Phong High School for the 2024-2025 school year were announced, CTH students were valedictorians.
