Announcement of giving away one year of free Google AI Pro package to university students nationwide, with the aim of contributing to improving the quality of human resources in Vietnam. This offer is for students aged 18 and over studying at universities, colleges or academies nationwide.

Registration is open from October 8 to December 9, via the official Gemini for Students website. To receive the offer, students need to verify their identity via SheerID, update their payment method (no fees for the first 12 months) and activate their account to start using it immediately.

The Google AI Pro plan, priced at $24/month, offers 2TB of shared storage across Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail. Users also get access to Gemini in Gmail, Docs, and other apps, which helps with content writing, organizing, and visualizing information.

Additionally, this package includes Whisk Animate, which converts images into videos using Veo technology, and NotebookLM, a smart AI assistant that helps you synthesize, research, and take notes more effectively.

To ensure a smooth verification process, users need to ensure that they are students studying at schools in Vietnam, have a personal Gmail account and a valid international payment card (Visa/Mastercard) or e-wallet.

The system may require logging into the school’s student portal or uploading verification documents, such as a student ID, to complete the verification process. Processing times typically range from a few minutes to up to 48 hours. Once verification is successful, the user will see a “You’re verified” message displayed on the screen.

Step 2: After successful verification, the system will move to the step of adding payment method. Please fill in Visa/Mastercard or e-wallet information to continue.

Step 3: Activate and use immediately on Gemini app

Please note that this subscription will automatically renew and start charging after 12 months. To avoid being charged, go to the subscription management section of your Google One account and select “Cancel subscription.” This will disable auto-renewal after the offer ends, without affecting the one-year free trial.
