Thanh Hoa estimates budget revenue of more than 44,000 billion VND in 9 months

(Dan Tri) - By the end of September, Thanh Hoa province is expected to collect 44,067 billion VND in state budget revenue, equal to 97% of the estimate and increase 3.6% over the same period, ranking 9th in the country.

This information was given by the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee at its regular meeting in September, to discuss and decide on a number of important issues related to the province's socio -economic situation.

According to the draft report summarizing the socio-economic situation, national defense and security in the first 9 months of the year, despite many difficulties and challenges, the economic situation in Thanh Hoa province continues to maintain its growth momentum. Agriculture develops sustainably, industrial production and services increase compared to the same period.

Notably, Thanh Hoa province's state budget revenue in the first 9 months of the year recorded positive growth, exceeding the progress compared to the estimate assigned by the Central Government. Estimated at 44,067 billion VND, equal to 97% of the estimate and up 3.6% over the same period, ranking 9th in the country.

Of which, domestic revenue reached VND28,661 billion, equal to 134% of the estimate, up 19.4% over the same period; revenue from import and export reached VND15,406 billion, equal to 85.6% of the estimate and 94.8% over the same period; total local budget balance expenditure is estimated at VND36,366 billion, equal to 67.7% of the estimate and up 14.1% over the same period.

Besides, in the first 9 months of the year, Thanh Hoa province has drastically reorganized and streamlined the apparatus, proactively monitored and resolved difficulties and problems in the operation of two-level local government.

The province has focused on reviewing and rearranging the organization of the two-level local government apparatus to ensure progress and requirements according to the Central Government's direction. After the rearrangement, the whole province has 166 commune-level administrative units (including 19 wards and 147 communes), a reduction of 381 units, reaching a rate of 69.6%.

Thanh Hoa province has also resolved policies and regimes for 3,758 people according to Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP of the Government, with a total cost of more than VND 3,685 billion.

In order to ensure the effective operation of the two-level government, Thanh Hoa province has seconded 15 provincial-level officials and mobilized 160 officials from plain communes to work in 38 mountainous, highland, and border communes. At the same time, it has issued support policies for officials, civil servants, and public employees who are mobilized, rotated, and seconded.

According to the report, the quality of cultural and social activities in the province in the first 9 months of the year continued to be improved; social security policies were fully and promptly implemented; the campaign to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses was completed as planned; political security and social order and safety in the area were maintained.

Thanh Hoa province has set out 11 key task groups for sectors, localities and units to successfully achieve the growth target of 11% or more, contributing to promoting the country's GDP growth in the coming time.

In particular, the province focuses on thoroughly grasping and seriously implementing the resolutions of the Party, the National Assembly, and the Government; paying special attention to 4 strategic breakthroughs, 4 pillar resolutions, 6 key tasks, 12 main groups of solutions and programs, mechanisms, and policies according to Resolution No. 58-NQ/TW of the Politburo, Resolution No. 37/2021/QH15 of the National Assembly.
