Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presents Tet gifts to workers in Hai Duong province

On the morning of January 10, at Hyundai Kefico Vietnam Co., Ltd. - Dai An Industrial Park, Hai Duong province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh ; President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang and central leaders, leaders of Hai Duong province visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to workers and laborers in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024.

Caring for the material and spiritual life of workers Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that in 2023, the general achievements and accomplishments in socio-economic development of the whole country as well as Hai Duong province have the contributions of workers, civil servants and laborers. The Prime Minister hopes that the Party Committee and the government of Hai Duong province will continue to perform well the political tasks of socio-economic development in 2024, in which they will pay attention to doing well the social security work, improving the material, cultural and spiritual life of the people, and valuing cultural institutions for workers.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor continues to implement programs to improve the spiritual life of workers, focusing on implementing cultural and sports institutions for workers to exercise physically. Emphasizing "Settling down before starting a career", the Prime Minister directed that building housing for workers is an important task. The Party and the State trust and assign the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to coordinate with authorities at all levels, relevant agencies, units, and enterprises to take care of housing for workers. Hai Duong province is interested in allocating land to build workers' housing, along with other necessary institutions such as entertainment areas, educational and medical facilities, etc. Along with that, calling on investors to build social housing, workers' housing with many segments for those in need, meeting the needs and aspirations of workers, in accordance with the development situation of the country and locality.

The Prime Minister also affirmed that the State creates all conditions for investors to have the opportunity to develop production and business, create competitive products, participate in the global supply chain... Thereby, he hopes that businesses will participate in social security work, strictly comply with the State's policies and laws, and participate in building institutions for workers. With the spirit of "No one does not have Tet, no one is left behind", Hai Duong province reviews poor and disadvantaged households and policy beneficiaries to promptly take care of them on the occasion of Tet, because the biggest goal of the Party and State is a rich people, a strong country, and a happy and prosperous material and spiritual life for the people... A meaningful gift for workers Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang and other central and Hai Duong province leaders went to the place to give 200 Tet gifts to workers and laborers in difficult circumstances. Receiving a gift from the Prime Minister, Mr. Bui Huu Long (44 years old, worker of Myong Shin Co., Ltd.) was moved. Mr. Long has worked at the Company for more than 3 years, and his family's circumstances are difficult. His parents are sick, he and his wife have 3 young children, the youngest is only 2 years old, one of them has autism. Mr. Long's wife had to quit her job to stay home and take care of the children. The family's economy depends on his average salary of 8 million VND/month. "After a difficult year, today I feel very touched and happy to receive gifts and encouragement from the Prime Minister. This is a great and meaningful source of encouragement for me to continue to try harder in work and life" - Mr. Long shared.

As for Ms. Vu Thi Xuyen (57 years old, janitor at Dai An Joint Stock Company), the meaningful gift from the Prime Minister is a great comfort and encouragement. Ms. Xuyen's husband unfortunately passed away, her children went to work far away, she lives alone in her house in Lai Cach town every day. The attention of the Party and State leaders is a warm joy for Ms. Xuyen in the last days of the year, preparing to welcome the new year of Giap Thin 2024.
