During his visit and work in An Giang, on the morning of July 21, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited and worked with the leaders of Thoi Son ward (An Giang province) on the implementation of the 2-level local government model and the operation of the Public Administration Service Center.

Also attending the meeting were Central Party Committee member, An Giang Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Tien Hai and Standing members of the Provincial Party Committee and An Giang Provincial People's Committee.

The Prime Minister listened to the leaders of Thoi Son ward quickly report on the results of organizing and operating the two-level government apparatus in the locality; and informed about the initial difficulties in implementation.

According to the locality, because some cadres, civil servants and public employees have just been assigned to take on the task and have not yet mastered the professional process, they are still confused in the coordination work. However, with a high spirit of determination, all activities have now been smooth and effective, and have received the approval and high appreciation of the people.

The Prime Minister requested that localities should thoroughly grasp this spirit, always innovate thinking, be creative and resolute in implementing tasks; shift from administrative management to creation and serving the people. Promote the role of the Fatherland Front and political organizations in this work.

The Prime Minister requested Thoi Son ward to strengthen the review and screening of the staff, adjust the arrangement, in the spirit of proactive flexibility, creative application according to local conditions.
