Promoting defense cooperation with the Czech Republic

Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh - Deputy Minister of National Defense had a bilateral meeting with Deputy Minister of National Defense of the Czech Republic Daniel Blazkovec.

On the occasion of accompanying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on an official visit to Poland and the Czech Republic, on the afternoon of January 20, at the headquarters of the Czech Republic's Ministry of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense - had a bilateral meeting with Czech Republic's Deputy Minister of National Defense Daniel Blazkovec.

At the meeting, Mr. Daniel Blazkovec - Deputy Minister of National Defense of the Czech Republic - expressed his pleasure to welcome and work with Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh - Deputy Minister of National Defense of Vietnam and the working delegation, and emphasized that the two sides have great potential to promote and deepen bilateral defense cooperation in various fields, including human resource training, defense industry...

Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh highly appreciated the results of cooperation in recent times between Vietnam and the Czech Republic in general, and between the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and the Czech Republic Ministry of National Defense in particular. Accordingly, defense cooperation continues to be implemented in the right direction, in accordance with the commitments of the two sides in the Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Defense Cooperation signed in 2012, notably in the fields of: Exchange of delegations, especially high-level delegations, training, cooperation between armies, services, defense industry, scientific research and technology transfer...

Regarding the future direction, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh suggested that on the basis of signed agreements, the two countries' Defense Ministries should continue to promote more effectively and substantially in the fields being deployed. At the same time, research and promote other areas of cooperation that both sides have the capacity and need to bring defense cooperation to a new level, in line with the "Strategic Partnership" relationship that has just been upgraded between the two countries.
