Functional foods sold at Can Tho Dermatology Hospital comply with regulations

On June 19, information from the Can Tho City Department of Health said that there were results of verifying the content of the complaint about the case of "signs of using counterfeit goods, related to Whi Beauty Skin functional foods" at Can Tho Dermatology Hospital.

The citizen's complaint sent to the People's Committee of Can Tho City suspected that the functional food product Whi Beauty Skin (effervescent tablets, skin lightening support) displayed and sold at the pharmacy of Can Tho Dermatology Hospital had a fake product registration number.

After verifying the information, Can Tho Department of Health said that based on Decree No. 15/2018 of the Government, it stipulates: "In case the product has a change in product name, origin, or composition, the organization or individual must re-declare the product. In case of other changes, the organization or individual must notify in writing about the change to the agency receiving the dossier..." .

Thus, according to this regulation, the company producing and trading the above brand has sent a notice about the change of production plant and additional label to the Department of Food Safety ( Ministry of Health ) in accordance with the regulations. Therefore, the health protection food Whi Beauty Skin is a legally circulated product.

The Department of Health said it had also taken additional samples to test the product quality of Whi Beauty Skin to clarify further (this content is not included in the complaint) to protect the health of users.

The Dermatology Hospital conducts import inspection, quality control and product record keeping according to regulations when goods are imported into the hospital pharmacy. When imported into the hospital pharmacy, this product must have invoices, documents, and a full product declaration according to regulations.
