Ho Chi Minh City Police Club missed many opportunities

It wasn't until the 42nd minute, after a beautiful attack, that midfielder Endrick, in an unmarked position, easily defeated Trung Kien, putting CA TP.HCM Club ahead. And this was also the final score of the first half.

After the break, the game situation did not change much. Although HAGL tried hard, their playing style was monotonous and they did not create many dangerous opportunities towards Patrick Le Giang's goal.

Meanwhile, the home team took the initiative to slow down the tempo but also created some clear chances. However, the strikers of CA TP.HCM Club showed that their finishing ability was not really good so the score of 1-0 was maintained throughout the match.

With this victory, CA TP.HCM Club has 6 points along with Hai Phong, Nam Dinh , Ha Tinh but is only in 6th place because of losing goal difference, HAGL is in second to last place with only 1 point after 3 rounds.

Evaluating the match, Coach Le Huynh Duc said: " HCM City Police Club has not had the best preparation, so I am satisfied with today's result, especially the spirit of the players.

CA TP.HCM played better, but missed many opportunities. I think the players need more time to improve. Tien Linh and the foreign players as well, will gradually adapt to play better and more effectively."

Regarding the home team's shortcomings, the former Vietnam national team player frankly said: "The first victory was praised too much, but after 2 matches, the players quickly lost strength. In this victory, we also had many losing situations in one-on-one disputes. Hopefully, the team will be better in terms of physical strength and cohesion over time to complete the set goals."

On the other side of the battle line, Coach Le Quang Trai assessed: " The home team played better in the first half, HAGL improved in the next half but could not take advantage of the opportunity. The upcoming break is very valuable for us to try to improve to have better results."
