The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued Decision 868/QD-BVHTTDL on organizing an art program to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024).

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned the Department of Performing Arts to direct the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to organize an art program to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

The program will be held in May 2024 in Dien Bien province.

Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theatre is responsible for developing scripts, submitting them to competent authorities for approval, organizing rehearsals and performing art programs to ensure progress, quality, safety and economy.

Activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024) and major national holidays are not only an opportunity to promote the value and historical significance, the epochal stature of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, of the resistance war against the French colonialists, but also affirm the correct and wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh.

Through activities, arouse and promote the tradition of patriotism, revolutionary heroism, determination to fight and win of our army and people; uphold the spirit of great national unity; express deep gratitude to the generations who sacrificed their blood for national independence and unification; encourage and motivate cadres, party members and people of all walks of life to strive and make efforts to overcome difficulties and successfully complete political goals and tasks in 2024.
