Stop organizing Muong Lo Cultural and Tourism Festival in 2025

On October 6, the People's Committee of Lao Cai province decided to stop organizing the Muong Lo Cultural and Tourism Festival in 2025.

Due to the impact of storm No. 10's circulation causing heavy damage to Lao Cai province, and the complicated developments of storm No. 11, the Provincial People's Committee decided to stop organizing the Muong Lo Cultural and Tourism Festival in 2025, to focus resources on overcoming the consequences of storm No. 10 and proactively responding to storm No. 11 and the circulation after the storm.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committees of localities to continue to advise and propose the organization of cultural and tourism activities and events in the Muong Lo area on a suitable scale and form at an appropriate time in the coming time, based on the actual situation.

Muong Lo Cultural and Tourism Festival is an annual event and a unique cultural and tourism product of Lao Cai province.

Previously, in order to preserve and promote cultural heritage associated with tourism development in the province, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee planned to organize the Muong Lo Cultural and Tourism Festival at the end of October 2025, with many activities, such as: Opening of the Muong Lo Cultural and Tourism Festival 2025 with the theme "Muong Lo - Shining heritage colors", the solidarity dance; street parade program. Along with that are activities in localities, such as: Lao Cai province's Shan Tuyet Tea Festival in Van Chan commune, organizing the Han Khuong Festival in Nghia Lo ward, experiential tourism activities in Trung Tam ward... and many ancillary activities.
