Incense offering ceremony at Hung King Temple

Before entering the ceremony, the offering unit conducted the ceremony of releasing the five-colored flag at the ceremony yard. At exactly 7 o'clock, amidst the sound of ceremonial music and the resounding sound of bronze drums, the incense offering and offering procession departed from the Nghi Mon Gate and moved to the main temple.

The incense offering procession entered the main temple.

In the sacred moment of Hung King's death anniversary, on behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of the city, Mr. Tran Viet Truong - Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee read a speech reviewing the tradition of nation building and reporting to King Hung.

With sincere gratitude to ancestors, delegates respectfully offered incense to remember and express gratitude for the nation-building merit of our ancestors.

In the solemn atmosphere of the Ancestor's Death Anniversary, with a sincere heart of gratitude to the ancestors who have contributed to building and preserving the country, the Party Committee, the government, the army and the people of Can Tho City respectfully inform the spirit of the National Ancestor, vowing to unanimously promote the achievements that have been achieved, continuing the dragon tradition, striving, training; being creative, seizing opportunities, overcoming difficulties and challenges to build the homeland of Can Tho increasingly rich and beautiful.

Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee emphasized: "Remembering and following the teachings of beloved Uncle Ho: "The Hung Kings have built the country, we must together protect the country", 2024 is a milestone marking the 20th anniversary of Can Tho City being directly under the Central Government, Can Tho City is determined to build and protect the homeland to always be beautiful, strive, train, promote intelligence, working capacity, and excellently complete the Resolution of the City's tasks in 2024".

After the incense offering ceremony, delegates visited the area displaying documents, images and artifacts on the ground floor; visited the Dien Bien Phu photo exhibition and the golden history at the Hung King Temple grounds.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee performed the ceremony of offering flowers, water, wine and incense to commemorate King Hung and ancestors.

 

In Can Tho City, Hung King Temple is a construction with profound cultural and religious significance, a central highlight, a spiritual convergence point, a sacred connection with Hung Temple in the Ancestral Land like the source of the North and South as one family.

The project meets the expectations and needs of ancestor worship of many filial children, and is a project connecting the network of historical and cultural relics and scenic spots in the Mekong Delta.
