In addition, on the nights from September 5 to 7 (ie July 14 to 16 of the lunar calendar), Dao Tan Tuong Troupe (under Gia Lai Traditional Arts Theater) also performs Hat Boi to serve the public at Dao Tan Temple yard.

Dao Tan, also known as Dao Dang Tan (1845 - 1907), with the given name Chi Thuc, the given name Mong Mai and To Giang, and the nickname Tieu Linh Phong Mai Tang. He was born in Vinh Thanh village, Tuy Phuoc district, Binh Dinh province (now Vinh Thanh 1 village, Tuy Phuoc commune, Gia Lai province). In his youth, he studied at the Bachelor Nguyen Dieu - a famous scholar in Nhon An village, Tuy Phuoc district.
Dao Tan passed the bachelor exam with the 3rd rank out of 18 in the Dinh Mao year, the 20th year of Tu Duc's reign (1867) at Binh Dinh Examination School. Serving as an official under three kings, Tu Duc, Dong Khanh, Thanh Thai, he held many positions from Tham bien, to Phu doan Thua Thien, An Tinh Governor, then Minister of Public Works, Ministry of Justice; was awarded the title of Hiep bien Dai hoc si - Vinh Quang tu...

Dao Tan was not only an honest and upright mandarin under the Nguyen Dynasty, but also wrote poetry, composed songs and composed operas. But the most outstanding of all was his opera career, he left behind a huge opera legacy, with operas such as: Tan Da Don, Co Thanh, Ho Sanh Dan, Tram Huong Cac, Hoang Phi Ho Qua Gioi Bai Quan, Dien Vo Dinh... In addition, he also edited many other operas, such as: Son Hau, Tam Nu Do Vuong, Dao Phi Phung... He was honored as the late founder of opera art.
