Uong Bi Rosin Enterprise was established under Decision No. 166/TC-UB, dated November 14, 1979 of the Provincial People's Committee; in 2004, it was renamed Quang Ninh Pine Joint Stock Company when it officially began equitization (100% state capital divested in 2009). Throughout the development process, the company's leadership has always shown a proactive spirit, ready to innovate thinking, along with creative vision and decisive, scientific and effective action. In 1990, Quang Ninh Pine Joint Stock Company became the first foreign-invested joint venture enterprise in the province, when it entered into a joint venture with Japan under the approval of the Provincial People's Committee. Up to now, the company has always maintained its leading position in the country in the field of import and export of pine resin and products processed from pine resin. From Quang Ninh, the company's products have been directly exported to nearly 100 customers in over 20 countries and territories, which are major markets such as the US, Russia, China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore...

Currently, Quang Ninh Pine Joint Stock Company focuses on producing two main products, including pine oil (output of about 30,000 tons/year) and pine oil (output of about 6,500 tons/year). Investing in science and technology applied to the production line is always the strategic direction of this unit. On the basis of regularly evaluating the overall production practice to upgrade the machinery and equipment system, the company is currently operating two modern production lines, meeting the requirement of 40,000 tons of products/year.

When the capacity is doubled, product quality is continuously improved, along with improving working conditions for workers, saving electricity and water consumption by 30-50%, waste discharge rate is significantly reduced... creating great brand value, strengthening the competitiveness of pine resin and cypress "made in" Quang Ninh in the market.

Based on its production characteristics, over the years, the company has implemented a program to support people in expanding the pine tree area to create a sustainable raw material area, while also participating in creating a stable livelihood with a good source of income for the people. Currently, the total forest area assigned to the company for management is nearly 2,000 hectares, located in the wards and communes of Uong Bi, Vang Danh, Dong Mai, Hoanh Bo, and Thong Nhat.

In addition, the unit also cooperates in purchasing raw materials from localities outside the province, stretching from Bac Giang, Son La to Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Binh , Tay Nguyen... Particularly in the province, Quang Ninh Pine Joint Stock Company prioritizes the development of native pine varieties of Quang Ninh, specifically the Yen Lap dwarf pine variety and the Ma Vi pine variety.

This effectively promotes the program of preserving superior agricultural varieties that the province has paid great attention to directing and encouraging implementation for many years. Thanks to that, the province's forest capital is even richer, with a total pine forest area of ​​over 40,000 hectares, of which production pine forests alone are over 18,000 hectares in the whole province.
