Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam - director of Tam Dang Khoa Canoe Company in Phu Quoc special zone - said that according to the weather forecast, the sea area of ​​An Thoi has winds of level 4, level 5, sometimes gusting to level 6, with big waves.

His company announced this morning that it would temporarily suspend services to tourists visiting the island to ensure safety.

Canoe tour to visit Phu Quoc island is a famous tour and is chosen by many domestic and foreign tourists.

Tourists on this tour not only swim and play sports on the beach, but also take photos, eat seafood and watch beautiful natural fish and coral.

"Currently, international visitors from Taiwan, China, Korea, India, etc. come to Phu Quoc to visit canoe tours in large numbers. Domestic visitors only account for 20-30% compared to before.

We welcome 6-10 groups of guests (more than 100 guests) every day. Due to bad weather, we have temporarily stopped running. We will serve again when the weather is stable," said Mr. Tam.

An Giang Department of Tourism said that from the beginning of 2025 until now, Phu Quoc is estimated to welcome more than 5.2 million visitors, including more than 1 million international visitors, with total tourism revenue of about 25,000 billion VND.

According to An Giang Hydrometeorological Station, due to the influence of storm No. 5 (Kajiki), in the An Giang sea area today (August 24), there will be changing clouds to cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms.
