Warning of localized heavy rain and flash floods, landslides

According to the Tuyen Quang Province Hydrometeorological Station, through monitoring radars and satellite cloud images, it was determined that convective clouds are developing and causing thunderstorms in the communes/wards of Lung Tam, Quan Ba, Thuan Hoa, Ha Giang 2, Ha Giang 1, Cao Bo, Vi Xuyen, Viet Lam, Tan Quang, Thuong Son, Nam Dich, Thong Nguyen, Ho Thau, Tien Nguyen, Quang Binh, Quang Nguyen.

In the coming time, these convective clouds will continue to develop and move, causing scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in the above communes/wards; then expanding to the communes: Thanh Thuy, Lao Chai, Tan Tien, Hoang Su Phi, Po Ly Ngai, Trung Thinh, Khuon Lung, Nam Dan, Ban May and neighboring communes. During the storm, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind that can break trees, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure, endangering human lives.

It is forecasted that in the next 6 hours in the province, there is a high risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams; flash floods, landslides in steep terrain, areas with weak and unstable soil and rock structures, construction works and flooding in low-lying areas, along rivers and streams, and urban flooding.
