Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi received 4 world's top tourism awards

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism , the Traveler's Choice Awards Best of the Best Destinations of the online travel platform Tripadvisor honored Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in four important categories.

This is an annual award, honoring the highest level of excellence in the tourism industry and is given to the units and destinations that receive the most positive comments and highest ratings from the community within a 12-month period.

Tripadvisor says less than 1% of the 8 million destinations listed on its online platform are awarded a Best of the Best award.

Ho Chi Minh City was honored in the top 25 trending destinations of the world in 2025. This list also includes many famous names such as: Osaka and Kyoto (Japan), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Lima (Peru), Auckland (New Zealand), Seoul and Jeju Island (Korea), Johannesburg (South Africa)...

This online travel platform rates Ho Chi Minh City as one of the largest and busiest cities in Vietnam, acting as a major cultural and economic center of the country.

The city retains the beauty of ancient French-style architecture and a bustling, multi-experienced lifestyle.

Hanoi was honored in the categories: Top 25 World's Leading Cultural Destinations (2nd place), Top 25 World's Leading Destinations (7th place) and the special category Top 25 Most Favorite Destinations of All Time to celebrate Tripadvisor's 25th anniversary (14th place).

Hanoi offers visitors a diverse experience from a city rich in cultural traditions with ancient architecture to a dynamic, modern city.

Tripadvisor commented that through the ups and downs of time, with many different names, Hanoi has never forgotten its glorious history.

Not only famous for its precious cultural and historical values, Hanoi also attracts tourists from all over the world with its poetic lakes, green parks, tree-lined streets, and hundreds of ancient temples and pagodas.
