On the morning of October 9, at the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials, Mr. Tran Luu Quang - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - and the working delegation inspected the preparations for the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
Also participating in the delegation were Deputy Secretaries of the City Party Committee, leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and sub-committees serving the congress.
Secretary of the City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang and the delegation inspected the main hall area, group discussion rooms, and exhibition area serving the congress, and met with and encouraged the participating forces.
The delegation then worked with subcommittees and relevant agencies and units to review all preparations.
Mr. Tran Luu Quang emphasized that preparations for the congress must be carried out thoroughly and comprehensively to ensure the congress is a great success.
According to the Central Government's preliminary assessment, Ho Chi Minh City is recognized as one of the localities with good preparation, including organizing a tour program for delegates on October 12 and establishing a mechanism to transmit the atmosphere and feedback directly from the connection points to the congress center.
The 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee is expected to take place from October 13 to 15, with 550 delegates attending (including 110 ex-officio delegates and 440 appointed delegates), divided into 12 groups.
On October 13, delegates attended the preparatory session; on October 14 and the morning of October 15, the official and closing sessions took place. Before that, on October 11 and 12, delegates will participate in activities to visit typical works of Ho Chi Minh City.
