Build love from sharing

The police force is known for its “steel” spirit, bravery and determination in maintaining security and order. But behind that seriousness are kind hearts, always looking towards the community. With the spirit of “ serving the people ”, Vinh Trach Ward Police has brought warmth and sharing to many difficult lives.

Mr. Nguyen Van Man (born in 1954, Bo Xang hamlet) suffered a stroke and lost his ability to work. His family of three only relied on his wife's bakery business, and his daughter suffered from mental illness. During the recent rainy days, his normally quiet house suddenly filled with laughter when police officers, soldiers, union members, and hamlet officials came to visit, cook a hearty meal, and encourage the family. Mr. Man was moved: "It's been a long time since my family has been so crowded and warm."

In Cong Dien hamlet, Mrs. Kim Thi Hen (born in 1965) and her elderly husband still have to raise 6 young grandchildren. Life is unstable, and many times the couple considers letting their grandchildren drop out of school. Understanding, the ward police often encourage and support the family with necessities to ease the burden. Mrs. Hen shared: "The police give rice and gifts, my husband and I are very happy."

Not only taking care of the immediate needs, the ward police also worry about the education of poor children. Last summer, many illiterate children were sent to Long Phuoc pagoda to study. As the new school year approaches, the police coordinated with the Youth Union to give 500 kg of rice, 50 boxes of noodles, and 500 books to help disadvantaged students go to school.

Promoting the spirit of "Serving the People"

Caring for people's lives has become an integral part of the activities of Vinh Trach Ward Police, along with the task of maintaining security and order. Since the beginning of July, when the political system implemented the 2-level locality model, officers and soldiers of the Ward Police have promptly adapted, promoting their core role at the grassroots level, while also creating a clever "Small Heart" model of mass mobilization on cyberspace.

Through clips reflecting the daily work of local police, visiting, understanding the wishes and aspirations of and supporting disadvantaged households, the Ward Police fanpage has attracted a large number of people's attention and interaction.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Minh Duong, Deputy Chief of Vinh Trach Ward Police, after nearly 2 months of implementation, the model reached more than 100,000 views, thereby mobilizing and giving to disadvantaged households 3 tons of rice, 150 necessities, 10 health insurance cards, total value of more than 100 million VND.

The "Small Heart" model is considered the first step in applying technology to mass mobilization work, contributing to ensuring social security, spreading the movement of the People to protect the security of the Fatherland, and building a beautiful image of the People's Public Security soldiers in the hearts of the people.
