Equip knowledge and skills to protect children in cyberspace

On the morning of July 19, Quang Ninh Provincial Library organized a thematic program "Equipping knowledge to protect children, healthy interactions in cyberspace".

Nowadays, children use the Internet and are exposed to cyberspace every day at a very young age. In addition to healthy knowledge that is valuable in learning and life, a lot of harmful information is also spreading on social networks, negatively affecting the awareness, actions, especially the safety of teenagers.

The thematic session attracted the participation and enthusiastic response of nearly 100 young readers.

At the event, nearly 100 young readers and parents were introduced to specialized books on safe and effective Internet use. At the same time, they listened to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Viet Dung, Deputy Head of the Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department (Quang Ninh Provincial Police) directly instruct and impart basic knowledge as well as skills to proactively prevent and detect bullying, fraud, and child abuse in the online environment. In addition, children also watched videos , participated in quiz games, and asked situational questions around the program's theme.

Not only listening to the knowledge imparted, the students also enthusiastically participated in quiz games, answering situational questions related to the program's topic.

This is an activity within the 2025 summer activity plan for young readers of the Provincial Library. Thereby, supporting and guiding children to know how to interact safely and healthily, minimizing the risk of violence, insult or fraud online.
