Over 10 billion VND to release additional fish on Thac Ba Lake

With the goal of developing raw materials associated with environmental protection, exploitation and linking seafood consumption, on July 9, Vietnam Aquaculture and Seafood Processing Joint Stock Company organized the release of fish fry at Thac Ba Lake, the second batch in 2025.

Accordingly, the Company has released over 10 million silver carp, grass carp, bighead carp and common carp with a value of over 10 billion VND.

This is a meaningful activity to preserve, restore and develop the aquatic ecological environment at Thac Ba Lake in the face of serious signs of decline due to the impact of overexploitation, climate change and environmental pollution. At the same time, it improves sustainable livelihoods for people living along the lake, especially communes with difficult economic conditions.

The program is also a strong commitment of businesses to accompany localities in implementing the strategy of developing a green, sustainable economy in harmony with nature.

It is expected that after 10 months of additional release, the Company and people will join forces to exploit and supply to domestic seafood processing factories.
