South Central Mobile Police Regiment celebrates 15th anniversary of its founding

(GLO)- On the afternoon of September 10, the South Central Mobile Police Regiment (Mobile Police Command, stationed in Quy Nhon Tay ward) held a meeting to celebrate its 15th anniversary.

Attending the event were comrade Duong Mah Tiep - Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee; Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Van - Commander of Mobile Police, Major General Le Quang Nhan - Director of Provincial Police, and former leaders, officers and soldiers of the Regiment.

15 years ago, to meet the requirements of the new situation, the Minister of Public Security issued Decision No. 2200 regulating the functions, tasks and powers of the Mobile Police Regiment (Ministry of Public Security) stationed in Binh Dinh province (now Gia Lai province).

After 15 years of building, fighting and growing, under the comprehensive leadership and direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, the Party Committee, the leadership of the Mobile Police Command, generations of officers and soldiers of the South Central Mobile Police Regiment have overcome difficulties and challenges, been brave in work and combat, achieved many outstanding achievements and feats, and made important contributions to the cause of protecting national security, maintaining social order and safety, protecting the Party, the State and the people.

In addition, the work of building forces and political and ideological education is also focused on, contributing to building a united and united unit; officers and soldiers have strong political will, ready to receive and excellently complete assigned tasks.

On this occasion, the South Central Coast Mobile Police Regiment was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister. Many collectives and individuals of the Regiment were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in work and combat.
