Tay Giang Regional Medical Center lacks 72 staff

According to the center's report, the total number of employees is currently 141; of which 112 are on the payroll, 28 are on contract, and 1 is on retirement contract. The number of doctors is 33, a rate of 23.4%. Most of the titles and positions are still lacking compared to the payroll (72 positions are missing), especially the positions of doctors specializing in ear - nose - throat, traditional medicine - rehabilitation, preventive medicine and some other specialties.

Besides, the infrastructure still has many difficulties, departments and rooms are small, damaged, degraded, and lack many auxiliary works...

The Center recommends that functional sectors should soon organize recruitment and examinations for vacant positions; have specific mechanisms and policies to prioritize medical units in mountainous and disadvantaged areas. At the same time, invest in infrastructure for the period 2026 - 2030 including: building new areas, rooms, departments for examination and treatment; administrative buildings, systems for treating liquid waste and hazardous medical waste, etc.

Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the staff, employees, doctors and nurses at the center in examining and treating people. At the same time, she assigned relevant departments, branches and sectors to advise on overcoming difficulties, meeting the needs of medical examination and treatment, ensuring the health of the people.
