World coffee market: At the end of the most recent trading session, the price of Robusta coffee in London for November 2025 delivery decreased by 62 USD/ton, at 4552 USD/ton, and for January 2026 delivery decreased by 46 USD/ton, at 4478 USD/ton.
On the New York floor, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in December 2025 increased by 3.65 cents/lb, at 397.45 cents/lb, and for delivery in March 2026 increased by 2.2 cents/lb, at 375.6 cents/lb.

On October 15, two traditional coffee lines of Lam Dong, Arabica and Robusta, were officially granted Geographical Indication certificates by the Department of Intellectual Property. This is an important step forward, helping to raise the Lam Dong coffee brand in the domestic and international markets.
Lam Dong province is currently the leading locality in the country in terms of coffee area and output, with more than 327,000 hectares of planting, accounting for more than 45% of the total coffee area in the country. In 2025, the province's coffee output is estimated to reach over 1 million tons, equivalent to about 50% of Vietnam's coffee output, in which the two coffee lines Robusta and Arabica still have absolute dominance.
The geographical indication status makes Lam Dong coffee the fourth product of the province to achieve this title, after Binh Thuan dragon fruit, Phan Thiet fish sauce and Dak Nong pepper. The title not only helps affirm the quality but also consolidates the position of Lam Dong coffee on the map of Vietnamese agricultural products.
Leaders of Lam Dong Department of Science and Technology said the locality will continue to coordinate with businesses and related organizations to effectively exploit the value of geographical indications. The goal is to build a chain of coffee production, processing and consumption according to high quality standards, aiming for sustainable export and increasing value for local coffee growers.
Robusta coffee prices are trending slightly lower due to forecasts of heavy rains in the Central Highlands. Rainfall is estimated to reach 70 mm next week, higher than the historical average of 61.3 mm. This may help improve crop yields but will put short-term pressure on coffee prices, causing them to cool down temporarily.
According to Reuters, world coffee prices are being supported by rapidly falling inventories. Arabica coffee inventories on the ICE exchange have fallen to a 19-month low of just 467,110 bags as of October 17. Similarly, robusta coffee inventories have also fallen to their lowest level in nearly three months, just over 6,100 lots.
Experts say the decline in inventories is a positive sign for international coffee prices, despite the upcoming addition of new supplies from Brazil and Vietnam. In addition, the positive atmosphere of trade negotiations between the US and Brazil, if reached, could continue to support coffee prices in the coming weeks.
