This raises public concerns about school security and public safety.

According to police, there have been several posts on social media recently claiming that someone planted explosives at a high school in Seo-gu, Incheon. About 930 students were given a day off to ensure their safety.

Authorities searched the entire campus but found no explosives. Preliminary investigation showed that the threatening post was sent from a server located overseas.

Authorities said similar threats have been circulating since mid-October, warning of knife and bomb attacks. Prior to that, several prestigious universities, including Sogang, Korea University and Yonsei University, had also received threatening emails involving homemade explosives.

Similar incidents have occurred in other areas such as Gwangju and Asan, where bomb threats have been sent to schools via email and social media. Although no explosives have been found, South Korean police are treating the incident as a serious security issue and are working with international agencies to track down the source of the cross-border cyberattacks.
