Today (December 9), the People's Committee of Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh Province announced that from December 11, residents and tourists with passports and travel books will be allowed to clear customs through Bac Luan 2 border gate. Previously, this border gate only exported and imported goods.
Customs clearance time is from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Hanoi time (9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Beijing time), starting from December 11.
As for Mong Cai International Border Gate, customs clearance time and passenger types remain unchanged.
To ensure the conditions for customs clearance for passengers through Bac Luan 2 border gate, the People's Committee of Mong Cai City directed the Border Guard Station of Mong Cai International Border Gate to proactively arrange sufficient forces, vehicles, and equipment, ensure security and order, and create the most favorable conditions for citizens of the two countries when completing immigration procedures through Bac Luan 2 border gate.
Arrange staff on duty at intersections between freight vehicle routes and passenger tram routes to guide and direct vehicles, ensure safety for people, vehicles and goods on the vehicle, and avoid conflicts.
Tan Dai Duong International Import-Export Joint Stock Company arranges electric cars and drivers to transport tourists across the bridge, ensuring registration records are established with the border management stations of the two countries.
Instruct tram drivers to move along the designated route. Parking on the bridge is strictly prohibited.
The People's Committee of Mong Cai City directed the Mong Cai International Border Gate Management Board to be the contact point with the Department of Trade and the Dong Hung City Border Gate Management in exchanging and regulating cargo vehicles and electric cars carrying tourists across Bac Luan 2 Bridge.
This is the result of the efforts of Mong Cai City in recent times in coordinating with the authorities of Dong Hung City, Guangxi Province (China) to discuss, resolve, and propose sustainable solutions to promote the entry and exit of people from both sides for cross-border tourism activities.
