Workflow automation increases productivity by up to 20%

Zebra Technologies (NASDAQ: ZBRA) has released new research conducted in collaboration with Oxford Economics that shows improving frontline workflows with modern technologies like AI, automation, and data increases profits and enhances customer experiences.

The research also highlights the transformative impact that more efficient workflows can have on the retail, manufacturing and transport & logistics (T&L) industries.

Specifically, retailers recorded a 21% improvement in customer satisfaction; manufacturers reported a 19% increase in labor productivity; and T&L leaders recorded a 21% increase in productivity due to better workflows.

Additionally, research shows that investing in AI helps organizations achieve real-time monitoring capabilities, providing actionable insights and improving operational efficiency.

Zebra Technologies commissioned Oxford Economics to conduct the global study through a combination of survey and econometric analysis.

The study involved 1,000 senior leaders in retail (400), manufacturing (400) and T&L (200) from the US, Mexico, UK, Germany, India, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

Areas of focus include inventory management, quality control, delivery operations, materials handling, and loss prevention processes.
